“We’re being called to something deeper — something deeper than self-care.”

Shelby Renee Giles is an astrologer, a heart-centered leader, educator, and storyteller.

For over a decade, Shelby helped social impact organizations craft powerful narratives to advance equity, justice, and sustainable change. Her professional journey in public relations reflected a lifelong reverence for story as a tool for transformation. She earned her Master’s of Professional Studies in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University, where she was honored with the Tropaia Award. She was also named a Washington Women In Public Relations Emerging Leader.

But over time, another calling grew louder — one rooted in the spiritual dimension of life. Shelby’s curiosity about the true meaning of faith, purpose, and the nature of the human experience became more than a personal exploration — it became a spiritual imperative. That unfolding led her to deep study, life-shifting trainings, and the recognition that as society becomes more conscious, we must meet the moment with greater intention, nuance, and depth.

That insight catalyzed the launch of WorthyWell — a multi-platform media company devoted to conscious storytelling and spiritual wellbeing. She sunset WorthyWell with a grateful heart to focus on what she now deems one of our most underrated, ancient spiritual tools for understanding ourselves, each other, and our evolving world — astrology.

After years of self-study, formalized training through Kepler College, and the deep inner work of walking her own path, Shelby launched her grounded astrology practice, The Orientation Sessions, to help fellow human beings journey through life with more intention, particularly at this moment of historic change.

When Shelby’s not translating the cosmos, she’s inspiring — and learning from — the next generation of storytellers as an adjunct professor at Loyola Marymount University, where she teaches courses on the art of podcasting and public relations strategy.

She currently lives in Los Angeles, where she frequents her favorite farmers markets, scenic hikes, museums, and music venues.
